My bank cannot process Booking.com payment
I received the following message from my bank:
We have received an international payment instruction in the name of GVEE4, and we are unfortunately unable to process your current payment as it does not meet the International Swift requirements in line with legislation. We are only able to process payments that reflect the account holders Full Name and Surname or Initial and Surname.
We are able to offer you the option of an Amendment. The sender will need to contact their bank to request that the name in payment be amended. This process can take 3 to 7 working days upon receipt of the amendment request to reflect to us.
The foreign/sending bank must please send us an amendment message in a form of an MT199, 195 or 196 on the SWIFT system and change the beneficiary name on the payment to INGRID BOTES.
Alternatively, we can return this payment and the sender can resend the funds correctly. The funds will take 3 to 7 working days to reach the sender and incur some cost from the intermediary and international bank along the way.
