Double Booking


Have anyone experienced Booking.com making a double reservation for the same room?

I have 2 reservations for the same room at the same time - I only have one of these rooms, so I have a problem. Both reservation are placed by Booking.com - I have never tried this before, and I don't know what to do - as I need one of the reservations cancelled?

To clarify, BdC doesnt make reservations, guests do,

and you must manage your calendar and its availability.


on rare occassions there has been know to be glitches .


Are you listed on another OTA , i.e. 2 or more ? if so setup a channel manager to help prevent this.


your next action should be to contact the 2nd guest and make arrangements to change dates or they agree to cancel.

There was a  system problem which led to a double booking. I have reached out to the guests and one has agreed to change their booking - so problem is now solved. Hope it won't happen agin.
