So when are booking .com going to make reviews a level playing field. 


Reviews with no comments mean I can't explain a guests disgusting slobbish behaviour and lack of respect for the place.

BDC have tacitly stated that they do not want to make the review system fair for properties.

However, it is never a good idea to reply with a derisory comment of your own! It will only make you look bad to potential future guests.

It is far better to be apologetic that they found it necessary to write such things ( read as lies ;-)  ) and gently point out why and how their comments are mistaken, by stating factual information. Unless, of course, they actually have a point, then you should express gratitude for pointing it out and vow to correct or not repeat the incidence. 

It's always best to leave an unfair review a day or two before responding so that you may reply with a cool head in a way that makes you look like the concerned service provider that strives for perfection.
