It really is a very poor show by BDC - they clearly don't understand the holiday villa market and how it is fundamentally different to the hotel sector.
I've thought of a solution and interested if others think this might work.
Apply BDC's 'solution' of blocking the days when check-in and check-out aren't permitted - or else, just block off the whole peak season on BDC's calendar. Then, remove BDC from the calendar synchs on the other websites. This will prevent the necessary blocking of days on BCD messing up the other websites' availabilities.
It will mean that any bookings via BDC will need to be entered manually on one of the other sites (and visa versa) but it ought to solve the problem?

Thanks for your reply. My minimum stay is 7-days. During my peak 3 months, I must have bookings that start and finish on Saturdays.
I did look at the 'Bulk Option' function - is that what I need to use?
Can I apply from and to for July, August and September only?
I can afford to be flexible out-of-season.
I've just spent an hour trying to sort this out - I'm always 100% full during school summer holidays and unless I get Saturday to Saturday bookings, the odd days on either side remain unfilled!
This year it cost me a whole week of lost bookings.
One solution would be to prevent Booking.com from filling any bookings during the high season. But if I block it in Booking.com, it'll be exported to the other sites.
Anyone know if it's possible to stop Booking.com booking certain dates without blocking the calendar?
