Advice on how to handel construction near my hotel

Hello,

I just discovered that a major renovation is going to start in the building next to my B&B hotel (6 rooms).

We share the same wall and I understand that it might take a year to finish.

There is going to be drilling and breaking noise from early morning...

Any ideas of how to handel this with my guests? What can I do??

Hi Sharon,

 

Simplly its governed by civil noise laws, and they are allowed to work from X to Y.

 

Its not for you to solve, and there is no solution unless you are planning on getting the wall sound proofed and the windows are double glazed.

 

a guest cant cancel due to noise form it, they can leave but no refund entitlement

 

it is what it is.

you should sumarise that in the new reservation message template

'Strictly no refunds due to construction works. As it is outside of our control and in line with civil authority on Noise Laws..

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.

  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
