Mr Spence

Mr Spence. Presently I own a portfolio of Property in the UK and a Small Part is used for Vacation Apartment Rentals and hence my involvement on this post.
At 55 I am a young retiree who likes to take my Summers in my French Home and my Winters in Dubai or the Far East, I have enjoyed Travel since my late teens enjoying my first Cruise aged 22 years after which enjoying a tick list to Travel to every State of America. But there are still so many things left on my Bucket List, Funny but sometimes the things we put on a Bucket List can turn out to be the worst of experiences.

Hi Elyn, I have been there and done it, but in the end I set up with BDC a phone service, where I would ring them via VOIP Orange and they would give me the password, this system worked a treat.

Remember if you contact the wrong person on BDC they will not want to help, be pushy and explain whey this system has been set up - you live in the backwater with no phone signal.

By the way where about are you, I live in the Auvergne which is 85% void of cell phone reception.

Glad I found this post, I was beginning to think it was something I said 

But now I have read your explanation it would seem that we need a work around here and to tell everyone in my office that the First to see the Guests Phone or Address details are to place them in the Guests Notes Section half way down the Booking.com Booking Page - job done

By the way we no longer take Cards so I wonder why we have been included in this yet another Layer of Security

But like so many Hoteliers, I am up to here in Security, every page I request on Booking.com needs to send me a Text to my phone, lets pray someone out there finds a solution to all this madness !!!

It has been suggested that my IP Provider is using a Floating IP Address and this could be the reason, yet Mobile phone use this Floating IP Address

Shocking story Kenneth, I wonder what is the answer to all of this confusion is.

Whatever the Solution, the chances are it would not meet the needs of all the Hoteliers, due to the complacency of most. BDC Sucks us all up like a Butcher sweeping his floor and if you think you have choices, yes you can pick any card, ,but the outcome remains the same, a bit like the Government of the day.

  • Yes, in GB at least all bookings left with a comment or not have a traceable action
  • Simply click on the Booking Number shown in the review, that will take you directly back to the Booking page they made.

They you go, me and my big mouth, since writing this response, BDC has removed this option.

However, you can OPEN a NEW PROPERTY Account which will be published using the same company details as your other Properties and start over, ok they place a couple of trading restrictions on your early bookings, but soon these are removed and you are good to go.

We operate 3 Business Profiles each with a different score range and allows us to offer a range of options between business profiles.

Shocking, but such a big ship cannot or will not alter course for a few that fall overboard

Funny thing but Hand on Heart I saw an option to remove the Review Score from a listing I was posting on BDC, but try as hard as I could it was no longer there

So, anyone looking for a work around "how to remove your review score" can contact me via

if you are at a 6 review, my personal view would be to Opt out of the "Review System" 

It is not mandatory and It takes away all the stress that Pandering to Guests
