ParadiseBoulevard
We have been hosting Paradise on The Boulevard since 2011. We love the experience and especially love the feedback we get from our guests, many of them returning time after time. We are always available and reply immediately to any queries you may have. Our objective is to make you stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We love the beach and the area; it is a real get away from a busy life. A place to relax and forget about it all.
Enough. I asked a question and replied in a normal manner. I expect a constructive an polite conversation in such a forum. But because I didn't accept the reply, I was responded to with blunt, rude, insulting and arrogant comments firstly by BrookAv. And then by you pibomarco, questioning my genuineness and motive for posting because I changed my profile name, that BTW was a suggestion in the first post by BrookAv.
You both should take a step back and think about how you respond. If you don't have a constructive and polite comment, then don't contribute.
Whatever you say with your insults a rude replies, you are accepting a non-working feature, that can be fixed by software engineers. iCal can be responsive and reliable if implemented correctly.
I will not continue with this matter any longer. Thanks for your time.

Said a guy who initally registered here with his full name.. A guy that probably use social media such as Facebook, Twitter or any other apps. This is a very poor excuse why you do not want to use channel manager. Probably the main reason is because it is not free
Haven't you got something better to do? I came here and asked for advice and made a valid point about dysfunctional features. All you want to do is criticise. Have a good look at yourself, and ask yourself why you do that?
Got/had the same problems BdC need to fix it so sync activates each time a booking is changed/added. Not difficult.
Yeah, but it's easy for the channels to fix, they just don't. I know how it works, it's not that hard. A sync can be triggered when a booking is accepted, easy. So if the issue is not raised then it's not discussed and hopefully fixed.
Oh, just to finish. A quick search found this quote from a calendar sync provider (syncbnb.com pushing their calendar sync). If we accept poorly implemented iCal from hosting providers they will continue to do so. It's up to the hosting providers to fix their problem "break" and "channel bugs". I don't plan on giving my valuable data away without at least letting folk know what's going on.
Like I said, poorly implemented dysfunctional feature. If people accept it then that is their loss.
Well to both of you, never had any issue with double book other than here so thanks for your advice but your wrong to accept a half baked feature.
Thanks for your reply. However it's disappointing to hear the the calendar sync is unreliable. I have an engineering background and there's a simple rule, if it doesn't work fix it or don't make it available. As an aside booking.com calendar sync is the only one of 3 in use that constantly fails. Points to poor implementation on behalf of booking.com at first observation. Secondly third party apps have access to data that is valuable and another reason why booking.com should fix their problem as that data is not for free give away. Poor effort.
