Thank you M Adamopoulou!
You too - stay safe and healthy! I think the outlook is already better for this year!
Yes, if you get the chance try to visit Myanmar before it's too late and then becomes spoiled. We also took an 'express boat' on the Iriwaddy river - only 10 hours but very comfortable and a great way to see life of locals on the river.
Best wishes for a happy and prosperous new year!
I'm new to the partner communication hub. I'm Jean and we are based in Spain and have been running the B and B for a couple of years. We went to Myanmar in December 2013 and it was probably the best trip of my life! We were there for two weeks and travelled all around the country. I'd been very ill before this trip and we weren't sure that I'd make it - so it was a wonderful bonus and a privilege to visit Myanmar ..the people were so friendly and helpful and the country is just beautiful! the highlight of the trip was the hot air balloon over the temples of Bagan....an unforgettable experience!
Re tips to keep your guests smiling:
Be yourself - and always friendly. If they get lost on the way we go and find them.
At breakfast I sit with guests to chat to them and find out about them. This, of course, has to be intuitive. If I sense they'd rather be alone, I serve them and leave them to enjoy the view. We offer a variety of options for breakfast and will accommodate most needs.
They really like the personal touches, home-made marmalades and jam, our own olive oil, flowers in the room and fresh fruit, tea coffee etc, In the bathroom they have shampoo, shower gel and hand sanitizer. We wear masks at home with guests around and have an ozone generating machine, so they know the house is virus free.
We have met some wonderful people and when this virus is under control, we will be travelling again ourselves and opening our doors again.
sorry can't do that - as booking.com are based in US ??? I'm in UK? Or do you have a UK number I could call?
