HI Shay, I am seriously considering this course of action too but for all future bookings made on "payments by booking.com".
However, how did you explain to your guests? Problem is for me, it is not the guests fault and that is the only thing that has stopped me so far.

I am having major problems at the moment, booking.com handles your payments had a technical issue and they have given me vcc to book despite me not having a credit card terminal. Therefore I cannot get my money and the incompetent finance department cannot seem to find a solution.
I am fed up, broke (they owe me nearly 13,000 euro which for a small B&B is horrific) and I have looked after all of our "mutual" guests at my own cost and am continuing to do so.
I am getting nowhere, after nearly 8 weeks of almost daily phone calls with my account manager I am still no further on. They have told me that I will just have to get a card terminal which takes customer not present transactions so that I can charge the cards. OK? So I need to resolve their problem - no.
Fed up, had enough and looking for solutions.
also looking for anyone who has same problem, can share solicitor costs or go together to media.
How did you manage to get paid? I am daily on the phone to my account manager who is not doing anything to help. I am not allowed to speak to anyone else, they now owe me nearly 13,000 Euro - we are a small B&B hotel and cannot manage without this money.
On top of this they are threatening me to close the hotel out for bookings because I havent paid my commission! And I also just had to send back the SEPA payment they took from my bank for the commission - despite promises that the commission invoices are on hold.
I have threatened that if guests arrive who have already paid booking.com, they will not be allowed to check in until they have paid us directly and they can get refunded by booking.com. Only thing is, thats not fair on the guest.
I am thinking of going to the media, its a complete joke and nothing is being done.
so next step is solicitor - they have broken their own contract with no doubt and plenty of proof, and/or the media to tell the public how they treat their "partners".
Anybody got any ideas?

I am having major issues with booking.com, I cannot contact anyone who is able to do anything. I signed up for "payments by booking.com" and have not received a cent. Booking.com now owe me nearly 13,000 Euro - I have a small Guesthouse with 13 rooms which is family run, so much money and we have already looked after all of our "mutual" guests.
Booking.com is a disgrace, I have been trying to sort this problem out for over 7 weeks and had only incompetent service, no help, not allowed to speak to the people that can help and seemingly a big company like this cannot solve a small problem.
I am 1 day away from contacting the media, anybody got any recommendations or want to join me?
