I am married to Lord Nicholas Shrager, am British and live between the UK and Barbados. My husband and I are entrepreneurs with various business interests in the Caribbean and the United Kingdom. We love to entertain and enjoy meeting interesting people, and hosting meets both of these needs. We also enjoy reading, photography and gardening.
Hi Dee, glad I could be of some help. I am not into QR codes, so couldn't comment there.
I have been with Booking.com since 2018 and I am in the same boat as you. I own a one-bedroom cottage and can only accept payment when my guests arrive via a card machine. There have been one or two guests that have booked and then it turns out to be a no-show so I have lost out on income and Booing.com on commission.. I interact with guests via the extranet and so have an idea who are genuine and which ones are fake or time wasters. Once I identify time-wasters, I contact Bdooking.com and they cancel for me. So far all is going well. For the past three years, I have received 100% of my guests through Booking.com, even though I am listed on other platforms and all my guests have been fantastic. Booking.com seems to attract a certain calibre of customers. I cannot complain.
Hope that helps
Hi sumit DHAR,
You need to go into the calendar section and update your rates. I seem to have the same problem every 18 months.
Have you tried using a Bit.ly link. You have to sign up for an account. It is free.
You have to contact Booking.com directly on the phone to speak to a representative and make the cancellation. The number is 17879452648. Have your property ID ready and the booking number of your guest. If you are a guest, call the same number and have your booking number ready. Same process. Good luck
Congrats to this month's winners, Bandara Hotels & Resorts and Sanatra Beverly Whittaker from us at The Pool House, Barbados.
Nice sideboard. We have something similar in our own home, (not The Pool House) but it does not have a fabulous back story like yours. Nice.
it does, it does, although I do not know what it means...
