Hi there,

We have tried contacting BDC on several occasions and it can take up to weeks before we receive an answer.

They have tried calling us but when we are busy we cannot reach the phone.

They still don't leave messages on the answer machine, which we hate.

Hi there,

Sorry to sound negative about the reviews but....

Why should reviews from 3 years ago stay on a properties page?

How the hell wants to know how it used to be?

When I look for somewhere to stay, then I will look over the first page of reviews and the rest I don't even bother looking at.

Can we not have one page of reviews so that the information is up to date?

Also, regarding how the guests score, I believe, is also poor!

When guests click on an emoji which is smiling, why doesn't the score that appear also only show the emoji and not a score of 7.5 for example?

My opinion on the Genius is also negative..

It doesn't bring my business any more bookings at all.

Why do I have to offer a welcome drink or discounts, instead of offering quality, extra services, extra amenities or something?

We still have loads of cancellations even from "Genius" bookers.

Thanks jaybeegee,

That is not what I meant!

Janefryer, exactly!

I feel that the guest reviews are generally a good idea but with too little info!

If the guest has marked us down on a topic then there should be a reason written next to it to explain why. Surely this would be better for both parties if everyone understood the reason for the lower score.

Please BDC, listen to your partners and do something!

Hi there,

Click on the reservation and on the right hand side about half way down there is a button to "request to cancel reservation"

Hope that helps

Hi PARK FARM HOTEL,

If you want them to see your property details & rates then you will have to set up a "Googlemybusiness" account.

Regards

Graeme

Hi Nikki So,

I am unsure as I do not let Booking.com take the payment from the clients.

I do everything manually and I take the payments at check-out.

I have heard that Booking.com can take weeks to pay their partners.

Best regards

Graeme

Hi Denise,

You can take payments from the card details given to you by your guest even if they are not there.

You can manually type everything in to your card machine! Just follow the instructions!

Best regards

Graeme
