Actually, guest can give you all 10s and total score 7 or 8 and only total score will be calculated in average score. My category ratings are 9,8-10, only location is 9,5 and my total score is 9,4?! Not average in any way.
It's stupid review score calculating system by Booking.com. I wrote to them several time about this, but their only explanation is how the total score is calculated.

I don't think that writing to guest is a solution. If I was a guest, I would just become irritated if host asked me to change my review. I am also not sure that they can change review.

My cancellation policy is 30 days before arrival. If cancelled within 30 days, guest has to pay 50%. With Smart Flex they can cancel few days before arrival without paying anything. If they need to pay, they won't cancel, so here is the reason of higher cancellation rate.
I cancelled Smart Flex. They say that they will pay instead of guest but I am not sure if they will pay whole amount or just 50% as per my cancellation policy. So I decided that I don't want to overthink about this, I just canceled it.

Now I have the same score of 9,4 as my neighbour. My average individual score is 9,4-9,8 and their is 8,8-9,2. This is totally unfair and makes huge damage to good apartments. Some guests won't book my apartment because if the sort list by review score. And some will be dissapointed in neighbouring apartment because they expected more.
I wrote to Booking and they answered to leave feedback in extranet. Which is as good as they didn't respond at all.
