Guest cannot 'finalise booking'

My guests cannot complete their booking after I have accepted their booking request. It just gives the option to once again request to book the same room they have already been accepted for when they just need to make payment. I have tried to also book myself and am having the same troubles, is this why I have only had 2 bookings? Are all the booking requests I have been accepting been booking elsewhere because they cannot manage to book my property?

Any help would be greatly appreicated! Its becoming really frustrating!

same thing is happening to me, the same customer keeps requesting the same dates every 24 hours even though I keep accepting the reservation.  Wish there was a number to call for help, frustrating.

Hello,


I am going to reply to each message here so that we can hopefully resolve this as I too am having trouble with a particular couple from Germany. 4 requests later, I believe the guest doesn’t know that they need to “accept the final booking” after the back and forth of them requesting and we hosts accepting.


Perhaps they don’t know they then need to click “book this place” or finalise your booking, whatever shows up due to limited online skills or English language issues?


Please let me know if you have sorted it out.

I can literally feel the frustration of these a German guests trying to book, me accepting only to have it expire once again…if only there were a way of telling them or highlighting that they have to Finalise the booking!!


Has anyone worked this out yet?

I have the same issue and it is frustrating. i have been losing high value bookings because of this. Did you guys manage to solve this issue? Are you guys using a channel manager as well?

What is channel manager please?

It feels like I’m going to get hit with a lot people thinking they have a booking, when they don’t…


I too have lost bookings.

Perhaps it’s a way of the site making us move to “instant book”, which I’m still not familiar or comfortable with on this website, apart from hotels.


I’d really appreciate your thoughts and whether you’ve resolved the issue.
