New partner series: verifying your property's location

Dear new partners,

You’ve just finished your registration on Booking.com. This is an important milestone, congrats!

You might have even received a few bookings, but to be open for bookings permanently, you must verify your location. This is necessary to keep everyone — yourselves and your guests — safe.

If you don't verify your location, even if registered, your listing will be temporarily closed on Booking.com, you won’t receive new bookings, and your pending payouts through Payments by Booking.com will be suspended.

The good news is that there are many ways to verify your location. You can do this through a letter in the post, video upload, or even video call. You will be allocated to either of these options depending on where your property is in the world.

There are some clear guidelines on how to do each successfully, you can read more here. To finish your location verification process, once asked to do so, you'll have to click on a banner which you’ll see on your extranet homepage.

Location verification is very important. Let’s make sure you start the process as soon as you finish registering your property on Booking.com to stay open/bookable!

Thanks, it seems as if this process for listing my property is just too complicated for this platform. Just to send a letter via mail to verify property location can take months. this is really absurd. i can't do a video verification bc i don't live in the same state where the property is located. is there another solution? can you please let me know how do i handle the guests that have already booked my property in the meantime? i have guests that stayed and still booking but i'm not getting paid yet. i can't call anyone to assist me over the phone with how to set this up properly. i just need to speak to live person that can assist me ASAP.

Hi @Sharon Allison


As your property can take reservations it means that you don't need to verify it anymore. Just make sure that you complete Finance section of your property to be able to receive payouts. I hope this helps.

Hi i did the registration and i am waiting for team of booking.com to send an email to let me know when is done . No emails since 4 months . Do i need to verify my location by video , without i receive an email from them.

It is fine to make video. But how i will uploaded ? Because booking.com said to wait is under review . So i cant go back to ipload the a video . Do u have an idea how i will do??

I'm not sure but perhaps contacting BDC and explaining your problem in detail will help you to resolve this issue.
