Credit Card Payments

Hello,

I am new to booking.com.  I had a guest make a booking and I received an email that said "A guest booked a stay with you without the need to fill in credit card details, so payment will be arranged upon arrival."  What does this mean?  I thought all payments are received by credit card through booking.com.  Also, am I supposed to be able to see the guests credit card details?

Our new partners won't be able to view guests' credit card details until their properties are verified by our teams. 

 

Please don't forget to receive the payment from your guest at check-in.

Thank you for your response!  Ok so I am clear...until the restriction is lifted, I have to get payment from my guest at check-in, cash?  I am not in the country at this time in which my property is located.  I am currently in the US and my property is in Tanzania so I am wondering my options.  There is no way for them to pay by card through booking.com?  Any recommendations or suggestions for this type of situation?  Also, how will I know when the restriction is lifted?  Will I receive an email?

cant you have him pay at front desk or have someone there collect or use paypal?

Thank you for suggestion!  Paypal may be a good idea.  I heard of a system called Square as well.

Thank you for looking into this and helping.  Has anyone used Square?  I've heard of that as an option.  Is there a certain time period where booking will allow credit card payments via the sight?
