Getting my payment

Why am I not getting my monthly payment? I was told that I would get payment on the first of the month And still have not received payment. What excuse are they going to use? I have bills to pay and they dont seem to care. They take the guests payment staight away but they dont give it to the owners on time. Is this against the law to with hold payment? Do I have to contact a lawyer to get what is legally mine.
