How can I add somebody with a master account to my property?

Updated 3 years ago

*This only applies if you're trying to grant somebody access your property’s Extranet who isn't part of your property contract already and has a master account.

A master account is linked to a specific partner agreement with and the properties associated with this contract. As a result, a master account can't be removed or added to any other properties that aren't under the same contract, and their admin access rights can't be edited either.

You can't add an existing master account to your property if it belongs to a separate legal entity. To add a user account to your property, the other person has to use a separate, non-master account.

To check what type of account they have, they need to go to the Extranet's Account tab, then click Create and manage users. Under their name, the words Master account will appear if they already have one.

If they already have a non-master account, you can add them to your property by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the Extranet account, click the Account tab and select Create and manage users.
  2. Select Invite a new user.
  3. Select Existing user and enter their non-master account details (username and email).

If they only have a master account, you can invite them to create a new, non-master user account for accessing your property details. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Extranet, click the Account tab and select Create and manage users.
  2. Select Invite a new user.
  3. Select New user, and enter the name and email of the person you want to add.
  4. Click Next step: Set up access rights.
  5. Select what you want that person to have access to.
  6. Click Send invite to send them an email invitation to create an account in order to access your property.
  7. Once they accept the email invitation, they can create a new account. They should use a different username than the one used for their master account.
  8. After completing registration, have them share their details (username and email) with you, so you can add them to your property.
