If you already have a "Guest review score," congrats! Remember, you can always find it on the Extranet, under the "Guest Reviews" tab. If you haven’t received yours yet, the "Guidance" tab on the Extranet homepage is where you'll be able to see which particular milestone you're at in your journey. That's also where we'll give you actionable tips on what you can do to progress to the next stage.

Note: We at Booking.com adhere to a set of hospitality standards to help you provide the best possible experience to your guests.

On top of notifications on the Extranet, we’ll celebrate your key achievements along the way by emailing you at each milestone you reach.

Milestone 1: You joined Booking.com

Welcome to Booking.com! We’re excited you're partnered with us and happy to have you!

Creating and filling out your profile is a simple yet essential first step on your journey to becoming a successful Booking.com host.

While it might seem like this milestone is tiny, experience shows it’s very important you take time during registration and setup to understand how the Extranet is built to work for you.

What better way to learn than by doing? You can complete your property registration by going through the various steps found on the Extranet and adding the details of your property, such as uploading photos and ticking the right facilities. It’s easy!

Milestone 2: You're open for bookings!

Great job! Guests can now view and book your property on our site. But being ready to welcome guests is only part of the full picture.

If you're a new partner, a checklist will be available under the Extranet’s "Home" tab with actionable tips for this part of your journey.

One word of advice: Always put yourself in your guests' shoes, and you should be fine! As you’ll see on the Extranet, our advice covers topics like improving property page content, updating and syncing your calendar (to attract guests for the right dates), and even interacting with other Booking.com partners.

On top of all this, we created an article detailing how to build, update, and maintain your property listing. We interact with guests from all over the world, and we know what everyone's looking for in properties to book on Booking.com.

Now it’s time to get your very first booking!

Milestone 3: You received your first booking!

Well done – your first booking is an important moment in your partner journey. But you’re not done yet: Now it's time to impress your guests and earn your first review!

To increase your chances of getting guest reviews after their stay, here are several helpful tips:

  1. Familiarize yourself with how our Guest Reviews work.

  2. To get your guests to leave you a review after their stay:

    • Leave a personal note for them.

    • Ask for a review in your “welcome pack.”

    • Leave visual reminders on the property.

    • Ask face-to-face during check-out.

    • Send a personal message after check-out.

  3. Learn how other partners deliver outstanding guest experiences.

  4. Prepare your place for the perfect stay:

    • Revamp your dining area.

    • Light up your living area.

    • Spice up your kitchen.

    • Refresh your bathroom.

Milestone 4: You got your first guest review!

Congrats – you got your first guest review!

What an accomplishment – your guests are acknowledging your hard work! Remember that keeping up the good work is very important. Doing everything you can to get great guest reviews is vital – even more so for your first few reviews, since they'll be used to create your "Guest review score" badge on our website.

Remember: A "Guest review score" is very important. It will increase your visibility on Booking.com, which, in turn, will attract more guests to your property.

We found it pays off for our partners to also familiarize themselves with this topic. Luckily there's some easy reading available on Partner Help, which is a good site to bookmark. For example, did you know:

You did it – you earned a "Guest review score!"

Travelers now see a badge with an average score reflecting your past guest reviews on your Booking.com property page. This will give you a bit of a boost on our website, especially since travelers normally search for a place to stay using the "Guest review score" filter.

You've come a long way since first opening your property on our site, and now more doors could open for you. Just bear in mind, every new guest review will influence your score, so keep up the good work!

Maintaining a good "Guest review score" will allow you to qualify for other performance-enhancing opportunities, like:
