Payments by Booking.com is a payments solution where Booking.com facilitates all guest payments for you according to the policies you've selected. You'll get guaranteed payouts by bank transfer for all reservations (depending on your property's reservations policies).
We're currently in the process of updating the conditions, features, and service of Payments by Booking.com. We've temporarily blocked new partners from joining this service until June 1, 2019. After that, we'll contact all eligible properties with details about registration.
Starting June 1, 2019, a charge will be applied to Payments by Booking.com. It's meant to cover the costs associated with facilitating payments on our partners' behalf, and is applicable to EEA countries (plus Switzerland). Payments by Booking.com will be made available to other countries over the coming months.
How can I see if my property is already active on Payments by Booking.com?
To find out if your property is already active on Payments by Booking, as well as for more info on associated costs, log in to the Extranet and click the Finance tab. If you don’t see Getting paid in the drop-down menu, your property isn't active yet.
What should I do until June 1 if my property doesn’t have Payments by Booking?
If you haven't signed up for Payments by Booking.com, you'll have to keep managing guest payments yourself. It's important you configure your payment preferences correctly. For tips on setting your preferences, check out this article.
- If you accept credit cards, you can either charge the guest before arrival or at check-in/-out, depending on the policy they booked under.
- If you don’t accept credit cards, the guest will pay on arrival or departure in your local currency. If you want to charge a prepayment deposit or a damage deposit, you'll have to contact the guest to arrange payment. Keep things simple by setting a payment deadline and communicating it to the guest.
