How can I set or update room rates for different occupancies?

This article describes how you can manually set and adjust your occupancy pricing after you activated the rate level occupancy feature. If you want your rates to change automatically according to the room occupancy, make sure you’ve activated derived pricing.

To change a room rate based on occupancy, log on to the Extranet and follow these steps:

  1. Click the Rates & Availability tab, and select Calendar.
  2. Select the rate you want to edit by clicking the arrow beside it. Under Price, click Edit occupancy pricing.
  3. In the pop-up window, the number of guests for the base price will be highlighted. You can activate or deactivate alternative occupancies using the Status toggle buttons.
  4. Click the drop-down boxes under Price change/Discount to select either a fixed percentage or a fixed amount to add/discount when the occupancy increases/decreases.
  5. Click Save changes to finalize your occupancy prices.

Depending on your property type, the steps might be different:

  1. Click on the Calendar & Pricing tab.
  2. Scroll down to Price by Number of Guests below the calendar, and click Edit.
