Setting up “No arrivals” and “No departures” restrictions
Restrictions offer a way to apply special conditions to the reservations you receive. If you can’t check guests in or out on specific days, you can set up a No arrivals or No departures restriction to prevent guests from arriving or departing on those dates.

Setting up No departures restrictions
The way you set up a No departures or No arrivals restriction depends on which calendar view you use. Check which screenshot below matches your calendar on the Extranet, then follow the corresponding steps.
Setting up “No arrivals” restrictions
A No arrivals restriction prevents guests from booking a stay that starts on dates you select. Guests can still book a stay with this restriction if their check-in date falls outside of your restricted dates.
For example, if you set a No arrivals restriction for a room/property on November 24:
- Guests can’t book that room/property for November 24–26 because they can’t check in on November 24
- Guests can book that room/property for November 21–26 because they arrive on a day that doesn’t have a No arrivals restriction
If you’re viewing your calendar in List view, follow these steps to set up a No arrivals restriction:
- Log in to the Extranet and click either Rates & Availability or Calendar & Pricing, then Calendar.
- Find the room you’d like to set the restriction for, then click the drop-down arrow next to the room rate to see all your restrictions. You can also expand this list by clicking the Restrictions check box next to the date selector.
- In the No arrivals row, select the date that you’d like to make unavailable for check-in. To select multiple dates, drag the blue rectangle over all the dates you want to restrict.
- Click the Activate button, then Save.
- If you’d like to set this restriction for more than a month ahead, click Bulk edit and select the dates you want to set the restriction for. Then click the Restrictions box and select the rate and No arrivals restriction. Last, click Activate, then Save changes.
To set up a No arrivals restriction with your calendar in Monthly view, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Extranet and click either Rates & Availability or Calendar & Pricing, then Calendar.
- Select the date that you’d like to make unavailable for check-in. To select multiple dates, drag the blue rectangle over all the dates you want to restrict.
- In the panel on the right side of the page, scroll down to Advanced restrictions.
- Check the No arrivals box, then click Save.
Setting up “No departures” restrictions
A No departures restriction prevents guests from booking a stay that ends on dates you select. Guests can still book a stay with this restriction as long as their check-out date falls outside of your restricted dates.
For example, if you set a No departures restriction for a room/property on November 24:
- Guests won’t be able to book that room/property for November 21–24 because they can’t check out on November 24
- Guests will be able to book that room/property for November 21–26 because they check out on a day that doesn’t have a No departures restriction
If you’re viewing the calendar in List view, you can set up a No departures restriction by following these steps:
- Log in to the Extranet and click either Rates & Availability or Calendar & Pricing, then Calendar.
- Find the room you’d like to set the restriction for, then click the drop-down arrow next to the room rate to see all your restrictions. You can also expand this list by clicking the Restrictions check box next to the date selector.
- In the No departures row, select the date that you’d like to make unavailable for check-out. To select multiple dates, drag the blue rectangle over all the dates you want to restrict.
- Click the Activate button, then Save.
- If you’d like to set this restriction for more than a month ahead, click Bulk edit and select the dates you want to set the restriction for. Then click the Restrictions box and select the rate and No departures restriction. Last, click Activate, then Save changes.
If you’re viewing the calendar in Monthly view and want to set up a No departure restriction for a specific date, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Extranet and click either Rates & Availability or Calendar & Pricing, then Calendar.
- Select the date that you’d like to make unavailable for check-in. To select multiple dates, drag the blue rectangle over all the dates you want to restrict.
- In the panel on the right side of the page, scroll down to Advanced restrictions.
- Check the No departures box, then click Save.
