What kind of reservation restrictions can I set up? [New]

We’ve made it very easy for you to update your rates and availability. You’ll see different options below. Check to see which screenshot matches what you see on the Extranet, then follow the appropriate steps.

 

Restrictions offer a way to apply certain conditions to the reservations you receive, giving you total control over your availability.

If you apply restrictions for certain dates, rooms, and/or rate plans, guests can only book your rooms/units when their search criteria meets the conditions you set.

For example, if you apply a "Minimum length of stay" restriction of 3 days, your property won't appear in the search results of anyone looking for a 2-night stay.


Option 1: List view calendar 

If you’re using the List view calendar, you can apply these restrictions to your rooms and rates:

  • Minimum length of stay: Set the minimum number of nights guests can book your property or room for.
  • Maximum length of stay: Set the maximum number of nights guests can book your property or room for.
  • Exact stay: Set the exact number of nights guests can book your property or room for.
  • Minimum advance reservation: Set the minimum period of how far in advance guests can book your property or room.
  • Maximum advance reservation: Set the maximum period for how far in advance guests can book your property or room.
  • No arrivals: Close your property or room for arrivals on days you can't check guests in. Guests can’t book stays that start on those days (but can still book those days if they fall within a wider date range).
  • No departures: Close your property or room for departures on days that you can't check guests out. Guests can’t book stays that end on those days (but can still book those days if they fall within a wider date range).
  • Minimum length of stay from arrival: Set the minimum number of nights a guest can book your property or room for when booking on the arrival date.
  • Maximum length of stay from arrival: Set the maximum number of nights a guest can book your property or room for when booking on the arrival date.

Note: If some of these restrictions aren't available for your property but you want to set them up, contact and ask your local Booking.com support to enable your restrictions.


Option 2:  Monthly view calendar

If you’re using the Monthly view calendar, you can only add:

  • Minimum length of stay: Set the minimum number of nights guests can book your property or room for.
  • Minimum advance reservation: Set the minimum period for how far in advance guests can book your property or room.
  • No arrivals: Close your property or room for arrivals on days that you can't check guests in. Guests can’t book stays that start on those days (but can still book those days if they fall within a wider date range).
  • No departures: Close your property or room for departures on days that you can't check guests out. Guests can’t book stays that end on those days (but can still book those days if they fall within a wider date range).
