Changing your property status to open/bookable
For travelers to find and book your property on our platform, you have to set your property's status to open/bookable. You can do this once you complete every step in our registration process.
In this article:
Understanding what being open/bookable means
Being open/bookable means you’ve completed registration and all the essential steps to welcome guests from our platform. Once your status is set to open/bookable, you can see your property page on our platform as available for bookings. Your property’s status on the Extranet also appears highlighted as below:
If you’re listing your property on other travel platforms, you can opt in using a channel manager to synchronize your calendars, though this isn’t necessary to go open/bookable on Booking.com.
Changing your property’s status to open/bookable
You need to complete your registration on our platform before you can set your property's status to open/bookable. This means you should’ve already:
- Added at least five photos of your property
- Checked your property’s description, facilities, and room amenities
- Reviewed your contact details
- Added room or unit rates and enough availability in your calendar
- Previewed your property page as it will appear on our platform by clicking the property icon that displays your property name in the top right corner of the Account'">Extranet
- Have verified your property’s location if requested by us via the Extranet homepage
If your property still appears as closed, it may be because you’ve completed some registration steps but others are still pending. Refer to the above list and make sure you’ve completed all the registration requirements.

You can also manage your room or unit rates and load availability through a channel manager.
Going live on our platform
Once you complete all the necessary verification steps, you can set your property status to open/bookable. This means you’re ready to receive bookings. Here’s how to go live on our platform:
- Log in to the Extranet
- Go to the Home tab
- On the homepage banner, click Make my property live
If you can’t see this banner, it might mean we still need to perform additional checks before your property can go live. We’ll inform you about those checks by displaying a banner on the Extranet homepage.
If you want to go live automatically once all the checks and verifications are complete, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Extranet
- Go to the Home tab
- On the homepage banner, click Automatically go live
- We’ll contact you once your property is live
In most cases, if you set your property’s availability as open for guests, you’ll become open/bookable instantly. To see what your live property listing looks like on our platform, click your property’s profile picture on the Extranet and select View your property’s listing on Booking.com or click the property’s name.
