Booking cancellation by host

Hi, I am new to Booking.com and I thought they would allow the host to accept or reject a booking like Air BnB do, but they have just made a booking without asking me for next year August. I need to cancel this because the house will not be available. Can I do this?

nope its in the info you didnt read prior to sign up and also the How It Works video, that you clearly did not watch.

 

The whole premise of booking.com is partner manages their own availability calendar and keeps it up to date, a guest sees the date availability and select a room, clicks book.

Its literally that simple.

 


note:

simply update New Reservation template with :

 

"PREPAID is required to confirm booking. Please use the following info for prepayment:

 

  • define prepay methods allowed
  • define prepay time window before you cancel the reservation, min 24h.
  • define terms - failure to prepay within the time limit results in loss of reservation.
  • failure to respond or acknowledge this action also results in cancelation

 


 

Cancelling 

 

contact the guest to see if change of dates is option or other.

 

failing that ask them to click cancel on their account.

Message or Call BdC PartnerSupport 

 

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
