how do I get Booking.com to collect the cleaning fee?
In the Extranet, property tab and then VAT/TAX charges - there is a button to edit settings and you can add on charges that you may have in addition to room and tax, such as a cleaning fee. It should be found in "property charges". Once complete, make sure that you confirm/save settings.

Hi, Kathy Divaris here again. Can I cancel a booking as a host because I see Booking.com just accept bookings without our approval. I am used to Air B & B who allow hosts to decide on whether or not to accept. Someone booked for next year August which is not convenient for us. How can a host cancel a booking?
Hi, I don't know if you've already received a solution to this, but thought I'd let you know what we do. We only open our calendars a certain amount of time in advance. For instance, In January we opened our calendars through September 5 with our Peak Season pricing, but no one can book further out than that until we open the calendars again. You have to be sure you remember to open the calendar for future dates, but it can keep people from booking too far in advance.
