In our most recent survey of LGBTQ+ travelers, we found that:

A world everyone can experience

Our research shows that 80% of LGBTQ+ travelers have to consider their safety and wellbeing when choosing a travel destination. This means a huge part of the travel population still can’t comfortably show up as themselves. Because our mission is to make it easier for everyone to experience the world, we’re setting out to change this – together with our partners. 


We see the dedication you put into creating exceptional hospitality experiences for your guests. However, it's important to acknowledge that treating everyone equally doesn't always guarantee a sense of inclusivity. 


That’s why we designed the Travel Proud program to help you gain insight into the specific challenges LGBTQ+ travelers face – and the response from partners like you has been incredible. We already showcase tens of thousands of Proud Certified properties with a dedicated badge on their property page on our platform.

While we had the right mindset around inclusivity before the training, Travel Proud really gave us practical, tangible insights into steps we could take to have an on-the-ground impact.

Have at least one team member complete the Proud Hospitality training and be your property’s Proud Certified representative.

Commit to putting into practice what you learn and identify ways to help your team deliver an inclusive experience. Travel Proud

Make the Travel Proud Customer Toolkit available to all customer-facing team members at your property to support them in answering questions from LGBTQ+ guests.
