Booking.com is a hotel booking platform. Look at it from the guests perspective, as a guest I would think you would always want to see the location of a hotel you stay at. As a homestay you are switching into a more professional area with advertising on booking.com and not the same as Airbnb at all.
You have posted this on the partner forum so it is difficult to help as you haven't given us any detail of the problem. Presumably rate to guest is lower than expected. Are you a Genius member 10% discount, do you have other promotions or discounts that can Stack with this. Go into the Reservation and check the breakdown.

Yes, not cancelling the booking on the system is a rookie mistake. If you had marked the Reservation as a No Show this would also have stopped the commission charge. As you have posted this on the partner forum we cannot resolve the issue but if you explain to help team they will sort it for you.

If you go into Rates, Calendar - use List view. Are dates shown in Green, which shows as available. If not look at if Open/Closed, rooms available, Rates set. Also can take some time between setup and showing on Live. Have you received your validation code?

Be aware that sync does not work in real time so risk of double bookings. Best to turn off instant booking in Airbnb.

Not sure what the problem is. Your property isn't available if someone only wants to stay for 12 nights.
Search on help for 'change description' and get them to add in some wording into the text.
