I am owner of Le Balcon des Jasses, a Bed and Breakfast in South west France. I start in 2002, and grow slowly to what I have to day.I love good Quality and clean, modern and good life.
I love cooking, and I offer my visitor a 5 course dinner, and the Best wine. And Im cooking almost every day. Breakfast are with home made bread, waffle be made when people eat, I make a boiled egg, fresh fruit, fresh Orange juice from press, and a seleccion Yogurt, Muesli, and of course coffe tea..........

Yes, I saw this one as well. Was try to calculate the cost we are dealing with. I,m waiting for Booking.com to come up with a way to charge and tell people our room have the correct standard, compare to our new situations.
And we do not bring our self in danger!
Test, ask, see health certificate, how to handle this..?

I'm Waiting for Booking.com, to come up with advice, IN EVERY COUNTRY, And this needs to include the extra cost to accommodate our visitors safely.
Do we now ask our Customers to Change Shoes? Or leave shoes outside??
I have now (even still closed) Hand Sanitizer and disinfections in place. (my rooms smell as a Hospital)
I'm still not infected, I'm ready to work if we get support.

If we can open again, the guest room will smell more as a Hospital, than a Guesthouse. It will be very expensive and difficult. Disinfection, Mask, flowers, extra cleaning, explaining to a guest why it smells as a Hospital.
I sincerely ask for help and advice, and how to pay for it.
We still have to be better than our Local Hotels, bigger smile, cleaner rooms, better service, more familiar, - and "cheaper"??

Always nice to communicate with you, and thank you for advice.
I have to say, I'm afraid it could be very difficult for all of us. To follow regulations (we don't know now) but it will be complicated, and what if we get infected, do we take this risk?
My rooms are clean, but not disinfected as you describe, but we will do it. (It's my Dear husband there clean).
I contact my Assurance today, ALLIANCE, and ask if possible to have an assurance if we are hit again, and need to close. If I get an answer I will share with you..
I hope soon we will hear from Booking.com and Our Locale Office Tourisme for regulations and advice.

Hi Adamopoulou, Yes, I can easily see we are using lots more time for cleaning and need to invest a big amount of money to keep going safe.
Will you explain how to Disinfect with Chlorine?
If I spray in a room, I will damage the colour on the carpet and beddings and so on??

Fear seems to surround us and choke us these days.
Fear is not particularly helpful as a guide for living.
RISK?
Most of us are doing Bed and Breakfast, for Business, and a lifestyle. It has been lots of joy and fun for us.
Not everyone has a separated guest house, I have the guest in my home, I have a "restaurant", in my home, I have control for my kitchen.
Who will pay for extra Gloves, Mask, hand sanitizer, on times towel?
New regulations are needed, and I'm Waiting Booking.com will help and support. If Booking.com can sell us Chokolade with name on, what about Mask, Sope?
