Small B and B just me so Click not for me
Old house, thick walls , stays relatively cool even in our strangely hot English Summer.
I’m just a small rural B andB . I only ask that guests let me know if they will be later than 18:30. Unfortunately many guests do not read my welcome email or chose to ignore it. I try and remain calm and wait until 22:00 if I have had no communication. I then send a text and email explaining that unless they arrive by 22:30 I will mark them as no show. However I do not charge them.
I must say that over the years I have had a hotel, self catering and now a small B and B and have very few problems with my guests. In fact I would say 99% of people are great and you just have to shrug off the 1%. I think it helps to make your facilities very clear to guests at time of booking so they know what they are expecting. Don’t be put off by a few remember most guests are delightful and enjoy.
Personally I bite the bullet and adapt to the guests request. It’s not worth stressing over for the few times it happens. I like to make my guests welcome and happy.
