It is a fake booking. BDC has send a warning about this. If it happens then mark there creditcard as invalid, the guest who booked has 24 hours to update the payment info, if they don't do that then after 24 hours you can cancel the booking.
I did it and could cancel the booking, the cottage is now available for a new booking again.
Until now we had every booking showed up but I understand what you mean, we are planning to ask a down payment when they book, still working on what is the best option.
When the guests are already at our resort then they can pay everything on the last day.

Also the phonenumber mentioned in the booking is suspicious, don't call that +44 number
If you call back, it will cost you a lot of money because fraudsters are active with those numbers. That warning is issued by the Fraud Help Desk and several providers.
booking.com has send a warning mail about this, also to a collegue who did not hass a booking like that. So they know about this problem . it is very strange that the booking can not be cancelled even when it is for 100% a scam
Tthe BDC mail:
A guest contacts you with a concern about their upcoming stay. They have a serious illness and are allergic to specific cleaning products, so they ask you to review their medical certificate to ensure your property isn’t using any products which could make their illness worse. They provide a link where you can download the certificate. Would you click on this link?
Stay aware Of course, we want to be able to respond to our guests’ requests and be as accommodating as possible. But be aware of any message asking you to click on links or open files you aren’t sure about. Use the Booking.com platform to communicate with your guests to minimise the risks of social engineering attacks. Protect your business
There should be a posibility to cancel a booking if you have a vallid reason !!!
