We have never seen a CVC code through booking.com, our channel manager stores them for 10 days only due to regulations apparently which is very handy for short notice bookings but not so much for bookings that are made further in advance. Depending on how you process your card payments you can process without the security code but then you have no protection against card fraud.
Mighty handy to know for no shows that ignore all contact though.
Do you not have the option to request to cancel bookings that the guest has already made? If you report guest misconduct you can prevent them from making future bookings with the same account if none have yet been made
We use Rentals United, but we also have a dedicated booking system that we use for our own website so RU are a great way of bridging the gap and marrying everything up together and everything appears in our main back office. It's not perfect but we do use a more convoluted set up than some and it gets us a lot of exposure. It depends how complex you want to get; you could just use the channels as they are and sync all of the calendars if you wanted to keep it simple but prevent double bookings. A lot of it also depends how technically minded you are as it can be daunting when you are looking around with so much choice.
