My partner and I have started renting out our self contained Studio on our property. We live out rural on a 1.5hectare block of land in Kohatu which is in the Nelson area of New Zealand. I run the Studio bookings from home and we also have a digger hire business which I also run from home. Tim works all week away from home. We also have 2 rescue dogs which we love to bits. We live right next to the Motueka river in a very beautiful part of the country

Hi monet208 . I haven't had it happen to myself, yet, but I dont beleive it is very professional to allow anonymous reviews or to not be allowed to reply back. I dont beleive this is allowed on other platforms but I could be wrong. Someone could have an issue with you personally and have never have stayed and yet be allowed to review you? What part of that makes it ok or professional? Also to not allow the right of reply is crazy also. Even in a court of law you get to defend yourself! I guess when we put our properties on here, there was probably something that said you agree to this? I cant remember. If I had any issues, (haven't yet) I would leave this platform as so far I have only had a couple of bookings from here. I get 99% of my bookings from elsewhere. Somewhere that doesn't allow anonymous reviews and also allows you to reply to guests. I would've thought it would've made Booking.com more reputable if they had a more professional approach to this. People will just get angry, especially when it is all lies and you can even prove it was, and they will just leave. I run two businesses and in my books this is not good business practice.

I have just had a look in "Financial Overview" by pure coincidence and have found Booking.com banking details. So I am guessing this is where I pay the commission to. I will wait until the morning to see if I get emailed an Invoice first though. Thought one wouldve gone out automatically at the same time that it says I have an invoice in the extranet though.

I see the mans name has now gone. If Booking.com has removed it then that is a shame as we now wont know who to look out for.

On the "Home" tab eg it shows:

Search result views (last 30 days)

1,005 3 more views than yesterday

Property views (last 30 days)

98 1 more view than yesterday

Every 24hrs this "updates" and shows the new amount of views or says if it is more or less views than the day before. My views have been stuck on the same for the last few days or so now. Normally even if you have less views than day before it tells you.

Hi. Yrs on BDC. Yes it's open and bookable. Not recently viewed it as guest. I am open and received a booking other day and suddenly for no reason the updated views just stopped.

Hi @Blythlodge Chediston Chris. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I thought it was 15%. Havent had any bookings yet though to confirm. Pretty sure it is far higher than other platforms I am on. regards Donna
