My partner and I have started renting out our self contained Studio on our property. We live out rural on a 1.5hectare block of land in Kohatu which is in the Nelson area of New Zealand. I run the Studio bookings from home and we also have a digger hire business which I also run from home. Tim works all week away from home. We also have 2 rescue dogs which we love to bits. We live right next to the Motueka river in a very beautiful part of the country
Hi so I've Don the ical links correctly but check yours again tomorrow and see if it's out of date again. So I pretty much did what you did to get it to update but every 24 hrs it goes back to not being updated
Hi Bev. Unless I FIX it temporarI'll to show updated it doesn't update bookings from other platforms meaning I could end up double booked. Every day I have to manually fix it so it's ok for next 24 hrs. Just hitting refresh on Airbnb etc doesn't update the booking.com calendar to show I have another booking on Airbnb etc
Hi Charmainefernandes, this is just the forum where hosts can help each other. First off go to your Extranet and click on the Property tab and then click on general info and see what the address says. It should only say what you put in. If the address is correct then next to property location it will say "google maps". Click on that and see if it takes you to your address. If the address is incorrect then you will have to contact Booking.com. In Extranet it says Inbox. Click on that and then click on Booking.com messages. At the bottom right of that page you can either email them or it has a phone number where you can call them to discuss the issue. All the best and hope you get it sorted.
Hi there. Ok, so I have Airbnb, booking.com and bookabach with just the 1 property. I have imported and exported ICAL to all. Now the only time booking.com closes off a day etc is if I have got a booking on other platform or I have a cut off time on Airbnb where no one can book past 8pm for that same day. There for on booking.com it shows as closed also. Other than that have you checked your calendar on booking.com and can then check your settings. You can re-open them all in bulk and thn make sure to save it and then keep eye on it. I would say more than likely its something you may have done on your calendar. If you havent imported OR exported the ICALs to each platform then it shouldnt be doing it, but by not importing or exporting your calendar to each platform you do run the risk of double bookings. Hi Jcampbell. Go to your extranet and then click on "property tab" then click on "messaging preferences". It should automatically go to your email when someone books anyway I wouldve thought? Or have you downloaded the "pulse app"? It would show on there also. If I am not correct then I am sure someone else will be able to tell you. :-) all the best.
Hi. I use Airbnb, Bookabach and Booking.com. Booking.com I have only been with for few days or so and have had no bookings so far. Airbnb is where I have had all of my bookings from. Personally I far prefer Airbnb for payments etc. The guest can pay with credit card to Airbnb and then they pay back to my bank less their commission. With bookabach the guest can also pay via CC and they will pay it to my bank. By far better than the other platforms as I dont have a POS system at our place and nor can we afford it. Majority of people want to pay via CC so this is a vital thing to have but I thought I would give book.com a go, but unfortuneately I can only offer bank transfer for guests, as dont want cash.
ok so I have found one channel manager is free but my property is in the wrong country for it and I still dont understand why I need it as only have 1 property.
Hi. No I dont have a channel manager as I dont understand it even though I have read about it on here. Looks like it costs etc which is not what I want to do at the moment. On Calendar view it is on the right handside near the bottom under minimum advance reservation etc. There is a box with:
