A love of people and travel have led us to the lovely little village of Clarens in SA. We have recently opened our heritage home for self catering guests and we are loving this new experience.
Some of these tips are just great... Love the tip to use lavender inside draws as think thus will also add to the old house charm of our place. Thanks sonstbbs will definitely give this a try. I also love just mixing a little staysoft with water and spraying it on skirting boards to add a baby soft smell in the room.
Glad you came right and wishing you all the best with your bookings
Thanks Maria...
Thanks Moira love your talent
Thanks I will certainly look but I thought that once you block its a 6 month period before rejoining.
Thanks for all the tips - In SA we get a lot of pesky mosquitoes. Using essential oil like peppermint or eucalyptus in cleaning water or dispensing jar works well to bring in a lovely smell and keep pests away!
Our cottage was originally the stables of a farmhouse - guests love the fact that we have tried to keep some of the old antique pieces with a few updates. In the kitchen we have a piece of metal sheet that has been cut out to display Rolo and a traveller. The garden also offers a few conversation starters with old wagon wheels and water pumps. One of our most favourite pieces has to be the picture above the main bedroom - many people comment they book simply because they fell in love with that picture!
All reservations give a contact number - you should phone them as you cannot cancel the booking yourself. It is always best to also contact Booking.com to see if they can assist with moving guest to cause minimal disruptions etc to guest.
