They are not doing anything about it and probably have no plans to take care of it anytime soon. They suggested I do the payments by Booking which is not free of course but not even available in my market. For 10 bookings we receive 9 were fake and 1 real. I can get 1 real booking on my own, thanks but no thanks booking.com. My solution has been to close out the calendar and take us of the market. No headaches, no commission for Booking.com.
Still happening, many bookings for 7 to 10 days clogging my calendar. Unable to mark no show until past midnight of the check in date. Booking.com suggest setting up prepayment policy but it is so confusing.
Just had two next day bookings, two hours apart for 7days+, with this address and some Turkish and Middle eastern names, big money rental for a small country village in Serbia, so I traveled for 150km round trip to prepare everything at the both properties for the guests.
Guest are both no show and no contact from the guests so went online and found out its a scam or just some kids playing who knows. No help from Booking, cant even contact them other than someone writing the link above. OK, so it happened no big deal, time and gas money wasted that's life. But if Booking won't do anything about it that means it can happen over and over and scammers can block your most desirable dates with a few clicks two months in advance if they fell like it! And you can't do anything about until midnight of the said date and mark it as no show. That's just nuts, and bad business principle whats the point of being on the site at all?
