Hi! I'm part of a large Hospitality company that have been leaders in the industry for 25 years. They own and operate holiday resorts right accross South-Africa. I've been in reservations for +/-3 years, before that I was a puppeteer. I'm very enthusiastic in assisting families confirm a well-deserved break where they can make holiday memories. I have every confidence in our resorts' ability to provide quality holidays. Using Booking.com, we hope to gain more international guests. Kind regards.
Hey there,
I don't have the facts on this, but knowing Booking.com it will still stack. So Maximum discount will probably mean the MAX on the Dynamic Pricing option, and it will stack with whatever promotions you are running.
If you find out for sure, don't you want to please let us know?
Keep well
Hey David,
I was searching the forum to see if this Dynamic Pricing would be worth it to switch on when I found your post.
It says you can switch it off on the Genius Hub on your Extranet, under Dynamic Pricing. Is it not there? Perhaps you need to send a message to Booking.com via the extranet?
Best of luck! Am hoping to find more info on this so I can decide whether or not to try it.
Hi there,
Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your listing!
Do you have Payments by Booking.com? You need to check that ASAP.
It sounds like the first one was your responsibility to get the payment from the guest, before you were moved over to the Payments by Booking.com.
Check under Invoices, is there a tab that says payments by Booking.com?
Let us know
Hi there,
Welcome to the forum!
I'll start at the end. The money you charge must be the full price including the commission. Booking.com invoices you at the end of every month for their commission and you will pay it over to them.
Payment policies are up to the property owner. Search the forum a bit, there is LOTS of information on it scattered across the community.
Set up your policy to "Payment in full to be paid prior to arrival" and then you can charge them before arrival.
Keep well
Hey Hamada,
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the Ecolodge!
1. Nope. You only pay per stayed booking you receive via Booking.com. The commission percentage will be communicated to you once you load your property (via an automated contract emailed to you)
2. It can take long! A code is sent to your property which should arrive within a Month but sometimes it takes longer. But there are ways to make it go faster. Search the forum, there are many threads about it, once you come to that point.
Gratz again!
Hey Song Sun,
Sorry to hear that.
You will need to speak to Booking.com directly to do that. Sadly there isn't a button or option to get the process started.
You can message them via the Extranet but I suggest phoning Partner Services rather.
Hope this helps and best of luck with everything!
Heya Sandra,
Welcome to the Forum and congrats on loading your property.
Sometimes the code takes up to 15 days to reach you, might also be a bit late. But you can follow up whether or not it has been sent by phoning Partner Services (the number will be next to your messages under Inbox).
Or, you can go to Home and click on "I have not received my code yet" and select "I'm not at the property" so that they phone you to find alternative ways of verifying your property. Just keep in mind that that will come with restrictions if you do it that way.
Keep well and best of luck!
Hey Tommi,
Thanks for asking.
You get to set up those rules yourself, but yes there is an option that you can activate that will let guests pay the full amount online where you can get the Virtual Card details.
This can be seen under Property - Policies
Otherwise I suggest you phone Partner Services and ask for the tutorial regarding setting up payment policies.
Hope this helps!!
