Cancel the Booking.com one. I phone them and explain the situation and ask them to cancel and they are always happy to do this. I now have gotten into a habit as soon as a booking comes in to cancel the other one, eg Air BnB if booking is made through Booking,com so luckily it doesn't happen any more.
Hi in my experience it is best to just let it go. We were upset about a review and I even phoned Booking.com but at the end of the day people will still come and stay. It is upsetting but just look forward to welcoming your next guest
Hi we had a guest in on Saturday night and they gave us a review of 8 with 7.5 for cleanliness and facilities. We were very surprised about this so messaged her to see how we could improve. She said she gave us 5 smiley faces on both which should have been a 10 Has anyone else experienced this
Hi Yves, I had this exact problem.I am fairly new to Booking.com and was puzzled by all the promotions/deals all of a sudden. I actually ended up phoning Booking.com and spoke to someone in the States (I am in NZ). They were extremely helpful so what I did is increase my nightly rate by $5, which isn't a lot but it all helps. I then cancelled some of the promotions that I ended up with and only have 2020 plan and Genuis. I am still booked most nights so it seems to be working. I don't let the offers of more business if we have extra deals bother me, I just stick to the two of them. Jenny
Hi, that is such good information. We too use top quality linen and towels, always white. We have our own personal natural toiletries that we place on the rolled towels on the bed, but prior to using toiletries we put lovely little chocolates. We have found that the personal touch makes so much difference. Always a little vase of fresh flowers. We only have a studio in the back garden so just one accommodation. I make homemake cookies, muesli and jams from fruit from the garden, and that is what makes us stand out. It is a lot of hard work but rewarding.

My husband is 76 this year, and he irons everything. He gets up at 6:30 every morning and does the ironing. He told me I don't do it properly!!!!
