Lots of B&B's do -- partner with car rental companies, diving excursions, etc. They take a cut. We don't do that. If you're going to partner, please make sure your guests know that you receive a "cut" for the business you send. Otherwise it feels rather dishonest.
We've run our B&B for 16 years without accepting credit card payments. Yes, we have lost when guests cancel or don't show up, but it kept things simple. Now, Booking.com has a very handy pay online system in place. We've switched and I like it.
My suggestion is to prepare a notebook for each room. Provide a brief description of yourselves, information about the area, and rules, if you have any. This will minimize having to say the same thing a thousand times to new guests. Hope you enjoy the experience as much as we have.

Give guests who are checking out your business card with 10%, transferable discount written on the back. Ask them to pass it on.
Check the price of neighboring establishments. Don't go much higher or lower than these places.
