Write to Booking.com strongly and ask them to explain why you are being taxed on commission that is paid to them.
Totally agree, but if HMRC are made aware of this perhaps they can apply some pressure.
Have you considered talking to HMRC? I believe the problem lies that VAT has to be included within the final price and not shown separately. What BDC are doing is charging you commission on a percentage of the final price that does not go to you but someone else (HMRC) so you are paying Booking.com commission at 15% plus VAT on the commission at 20%. I fully understand why you are angry.
What are your policies? If they are that if a guest NO SHOWS then they will be charged the full amount so you keep all the money, if you only charge the first night then you must refund the remaining balance back to the virtual card
Because you are not accepting any type of cards you must take payment from the guest on arrival.failure to do so leaves you open to guest leaving your property without making payment to you.
Jean ask Booking.com to send a staff member to your property that's how they verified me
Hi Jean have to spoken with your local trading standards??
