Great to see you again! I also wasn't able to log in for awhile.
You know, I did professional photoshoot and posted a topic about it. As you suggested, I bought the nice plant, and I was hoping to have oasis in the busy city, etc :) But it died, could not handle the climate and being out of the sunlight.
M, pictures number can be unlimited except if you post very high resolution pictures on Airbnb, they have a limit of 16 pictures. They don't publish it in their FAQ, but this information came from their customer service agents.
Anyway, I have resized original big pictures because of the load time. People, who don't like many pictures would not browse them all. That's why it's important to give the whole idea of your place in first 5 pictures.
Anna, this property on Airbnb and it will be improper to post the link, because Airbnb is a competition of Booking. Just drop me a message at katerinka12 at yahoo com, and I will send you the link.
Thanks for the kind words, fluff, M and Isle. They mean so, so much for me! May you have incredible guests, income and experience!
Isle, what you can do is to make a swan from the towel. They look great on pictures and don't need much time and more shopping. Just watch YouTube videos and follow instructions, they are very easy.
It's an excellent tip to mount the pictures to the walls. It will be easy to clean them (no need be extra cautious) and they will not fall on the guest's head. I would also recommend everyone to do that. I am just an exception here, because of our hot tropical country. After short time the paint starts to chip off and fall.
Fixed wall lamps are more preferable. There is a reason 5 star hotels do have them. I was out of budget to buy them and time matters as appointment with electrician takes time and added cost.
The guest book has hidden agenda. If people will leave bad review, they will do that in that guest book and it not post online for everyone to see. We will see how it goes. Just my expectation at this point of time...
Sorry to hear that, racism is something that drives me crazy. I had such experience with Booking, however, the comment was not about me. As usual, the guest was upset at the whole country and it's nation. I wrote to Booking and they have removed the review, with no questions asked.
Please, remember that it takes long time for them to do it. It took about 3 days to remove that comment, but I expect that now it takes about 2 weeks.
On the positive note I can say that racist comments are ONLY kind of reviews that are really being reviewed. I also noticed that many hosts would not even bother to ask Booking to remove such reviews. Maybe because if normal person will read it, it will not stop him from booking anyway.
I am sorry, but I think it's improper place to ask that question. I can only say who is my favorite if I had a real experience with the host (being a guest in real life, not online host, who just chats about himself being super :) or I can nominate great hosts from this forum ??
I am waiting for "alternative verification" since February and nothing happened. Hundreds of mails, calls to local Booking office... "We forwarded your request to our verification team, they will get in touch with you" and no one called. I have been calling and calling to follow up and the answer is still the same.
So, I suggest that you advertise on Airbnb, TripAdvisor while keep knocking at the door that doesn't want to open :)

Well, they can log into their Booking account and they will see the Notification to leave the review.
Many hosts here say that guests "did not receive any emails". Booking automatically sends them. It's the guest who does nothing about it.
Isle,
Can you please tell more about key safe? How does it look like and how does it work?
