I have a similar problem, I want my base rate to apply to 2 persons , and charge a supplement for extra persons per night.
I can accommodate 4 but cannot change the base number on booking .com
I suppose, I will have to put in my listing the details ...base rate is for two and any extra persons , a supplement per person per night and check, when there are more than 2 persons booked.
I would suggest, Weil-ich-dich-liebe, that you do something similar.
Pibomarco..... Exactly ! all depends on owners and their abilities with canines responsibility. Sometimes is very disheartening when your trust gets abused. On these occasions, I teeter on the brink of banning pets altogether....which would be an awful shame for those who really take care.

Our apartment will accommodate 4 persons but I only want the base rate to apply to 2 persons ! How do I put in my advert , that for the extra person(s) per night, there is an extra charge required ?
If your accommodation is in a beautiful area or situation you will generally be able to get beautiful photos ( I am only an amateur) but cameras don`t lie and if you see the` beauty`, you will invariably capture what you see ! Of course a lot depends on time of day ,light and sunshine.
We receive comments ,`photos don`t do it justice `, even though we think the ones we choose are a excellent representation.
WD 40 is great stuff ! had guests complaining about a noisy flushing toilet and no matter what we did ,with adjustments and water pressure, it kept making a fearful noise when almost full ! As last resort, out came the WD40 which was squirted everywhere !..... after a few hours ....wonderful ! only a gentle hiss when chamber was full. Problem solved.
We accept pets ,as the area is superb for dog walking and exploring,but with strict reservations ,eg. bringing their own pet beds and not allowing animals on the furniture or beds ,for obvious reasons ( the next guest may have a pet allergy ) and no matter how clean you think your pet, there will always be ,dust, hair and maybe odours , especially after being in water.
Most pet owners are very responsible but you will always get one who allows their dog on the bed or furniture( I had dog hairs on the bedclothes which took 4 washes to try to get rid of and even then I could not use again.) My advice is to charge a good security deposit and check well when the guest and canine(s) depart.
