Hi Chan, I've always opted for BdC to handle payments so can only answer from this perspective.
I think you have to elect the frequency of payouts. I choose weekly. Every Thursday they total up the COMPLETED stays from the previous week (ending on Wednesday) deduct ALL fees (unless you choose to pay commission by invoice) and then send you the remaining money which usually appears in your account the following Monday or Tuesday
That's in theory........payouts are often delayed and miscalculated so you need to keep your eye on the ball. You should be able to find help in the section called "choosing how to receive payments" or something like that. It will take you through the process step by step. Cleaning fees are usually listed in the payment breakdown which you can view by "price overview" of each booking.
I'm having the same issue, plus the finance tab says my next payout won't be until 17th Nov, missing the 10th entirely.
I can't begin to put in to words how frustrating and distressing the BdC payment system is! With all the 'promotions' they endlessly badger me with, they currently deduct 28% from all my bookings at source, and yet still invoice me for the commission every month. They frequently mess up pay outs, don't take extra payment from guests when guests add people to the size of their party etc Airbnb have it so well sussed yet sadly don't provide the volume of bookings.
I wonder if there was a way to petition for change? Payout for each booking either on the day of guests arrival or departure, or once the cancellation period is over. I rely totally on this income, it's not a side hustle for me- if I were late paying anything there would be penalties. BdC mess up regularly and there's not even a way to contact them, let alone receive an explanation, apology or compensation.
I'm sorry to hear this. I've encountered the same on MANY occasions. Their payout system is terrible, I've had overpayments followed by a protracted period of Zero money, absent payments, under payments. They invoice me every month for commission which has already been deducted at source. When guests change their booking at point of arrival (add number of people staying) BdC don't take extra payment, and then don't respond when I ask them why they haven't
It is frustrating and infuriating. I only have one property but it is my only income so when there is a screw up, it has profound consequences.. And as you say, it is a torturously drawn out process trying to get a resolution. Even though I list my property for less on Airbnb, I leave a note in the apartment prompting guests to use Airbnb in the future for this very reason.
I don't know what the answer is? Maybe a petition from hosts? Like you say, they should take a leaf from Airbnb's book and issue payment when the 'stay' begins, or when the point of refund has passed..
