The question is what kind of review is considered as a fake review? Reviews can be written only from the guests that actually booked and stayed at your property.
A fake review could be considered for example if you booked your own place with intent to give yourself a positive score/review.
Maybe positive reviews that were published and then those bookings were marked as no-show (waiving the penalty fees).
I remember a case where I marked a no-show and guest was uble to score us 1 (because we didn't issue a refund). If guest would score us a 10 although it was a no-show, this could be a problem from the point of legitimacy of the review.
For encoruaging your guests to write a review should be not a wrongdoing.

Always make a copy of their password or ID card. I don't know how it works in Mexico but for each guest we must take personal information and report it to our local officials on the time of check-in.
Best wishes!
It is also a possibility that on the time of booking they were currently just staying in Italy which doesn't neccesery mean that they actualy live there. For example a guest was already in Slovenia and booked our place (in Slovenia). The flag was shown slovenian although he was an italian.
Did you try pre-authorize the card? Or do you need a CVV to be able to pre-authorize/charge the card.
If you did select CVV in extranet as a required information it is indeed strange that the guest managed to book without CVV. I suggest that you contact your account manager if you have one in your area.

Extranet -> Rates & Availabilty -> Calendar -> "Standard rate" and you'll see a section minimum length of stay

When I try to login via Pulse app, it says "Too Many Failed Attempts. Please try again in 5 minutes."
Last year was also very different comparing to this year due to pandemic. Less travelers = less enquiries.

I also can not log in via app. On computer no problem. Probably just a bug which will probably be fixed soon.
